The Sensitive Legacy in University Collections - recording available
Thursday 29 May 2025

The recorded sessions of the Sensitive Legacy in University Collections: Between Adaptation and Restitution conference held in November 2024 in Wrocław and online are now available here.

This was the first conference bringing Australian, German and Polish perspectives on the problematic collection of human remains, ethnographic objects and photographs created in the early 20th century by the German researcher Hermann Klaatsch.

The conference was the collaboration between the Institute of Cultural Studies, University of Wrocław, the Urban Memory Foundation and ANU Centre for European Studies. It was held as part of the project “MultiMemo - Multidirectional Memory: Remembering for Social Justice” funded by the European Union (CERV - Citizens Equality Rights and Values program).
